Ian Law invited to lunch with McLaren Automotive
On Tuesday, Aug 31st Ian was invited to an exclusive lunch and launch event as McLaren Automotive introduced their new super car the MP4 – 12C. Ian talked to the Regional Director of McLaren Automotive about the new car and the possibility of ILR Car Control Schools providing training for new McLaren MP4 – 12C owners.
This new exotic sports car was designed with minimum mass in mind to enhance performance in all aspects of sports car driving. Using carbon fibre throughout the cockpit tub along with magnesium and aluminium in other structural components this sports car weights in at a scant 2,886 lbs.
It boasts an all new McLaren designed and built alloy 3.8 litre V8 twin turbo power plant pushing out almost 600 hp. Anything this quick and powerful needs to come with lessons on how to tame the beast.
The McLaren will be ready in the spring of 2011 and Ian is on the list for a test drive. Hopefully ILR can team up with McLaren Automotive to help them make sure their new clients enjoy their wonderful machines to the maximum. Stay tuned.
